Are there any quiet study areas in the library?

Answer

Yes, there are several designated quiet study areas in the library.

  • 4th Floor: the entire floor is designated as a quiet study area. Remember, the further away from the elevator/stairwell the quieter it should be.
    • NOTE: if students are being noisy, you may ask them to be quiet or contact either the Help Desk on 2nd floor or the Circulation Desk on first floor.
  • 3rd Floor: the Graduate and Faculty Study Room is available to graduate students and faculty members for individual study/work.
    • NOTE: You must use your Tiger ID card to unlock the door. If your ID card does not work, please go to the circulation desk for help.
  • 2nd Floor: located facing Samford Hall, the Quiet Study Room is available to anyone for individual study on a first come, first serve basis.
