Does the Library offer notary services?

Unfortunately, the library does not have a notary public on staff. 

Suggestions:

  1. Check with your department and/or college administration office.
  2. Many banks, if you have an account, offer notary services. Call first to verify, schedule an appointment, or if they charge a fee.
  3. The UPS Store in Flint's Crossing Shopping Center  as well as The UPS Store on Gay Street  offers notary services and you can schedule online. 

NOTE: "A notary public commissioned pursuant to this article is permitted a reasonable fee, not to exceed ten dollars ($10), for each notarial act performed. No fee may be charged by a state, county, or municipal employee for a notarial act performed during, and as a part of, his or her public service, unless otherwise provided by law." Code of Alabama § 36-20-74)
