Are there any options for a non-student or non-faculty to check out books?

Answer

In order to check out books from RBD, you have two options:

  1. Become a community, or special, borrower. To get set up, you would need to come to the library main circulation desk on first floor of RBD Library in person and pay an initial $50 signup fee. Following that, there would be an annual fee of $35.
    • Community Borrowers may check out books, but do not have remote access to library databases

    • You need to reside in Alabama and be at least 18 years old..

  2. Become a member of the Alumni Association (if you aren't already). If you are, we have many resources available via this  page: https://libguides.auburn.edu/aul-alumni-services/home
    • Alumni Association Borrowers may check out books and have remote access to some, but not all, of the library databases.
